All Teeth on Just 4 Implants
Nobel Biocare Invented Full Mouth Implant Technique

All on 4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 dental implants, also known as "Teeth in a Day" or "Same Day Teeth," are a type of full-arch (jaw) dental restoration technique used to replace a complete set of teeth.

This innovative approach allows patients with missing teeth or those in need of dentures to regain their oral function and achieve a natural-looking smile with a fixed set of teeth.

All on 4 Dental Implant Technique

Developed by Nobel Biocare Dental Implants - the name "All-on-4" refers to the concept of supporting a full jaw of false teeth using only four dental implants. Traditional dental implant procedures typically require six or more implants per arch.

The All-on-4 technique reduces the number of implants needed and provides stability and support for the dental restoration.

The procedure involves strategically placing four dental implants into the jawbone, specifically designed to take maximum advantage of the available bone density.

Typically, two implants are inserted vertically into the front part of the jaw, while the other two implants are placed at an angle in the back part of the jaw.

This angulation maximizes the contact between the implants and the available bone, allowing for better stability and support.

12 or 14 fixed teeth are given, teeth are placed on a metal bar which is fixed to the implants below.

Improved Functionality

All-on-4 implants provide excellent stability and support for the replacement teeth. With this technique, patients can chew more efficiently, allowing them to eat a wide variety of foods.

The secure attachment of the prosthetic teeth to the implants eliminates the need to worry about dentures slipping or shifting while eating or speaking.

Natural Looking

All-on-4 implants are designed to provide a natural-looking smile. The final set of teeth can be customized to match the shape, size, and color of the patient's natural teeth.

The implants are strategically placed to support the facial structure, helping to preserve the natural contours of the jawline and prevent the sunken look that can occur with missing teeth.

Same day teeth

Immediate Teeth

One significant advantage of All-on-4 implants is that temporary teeth can be attached to the implants on the same day as the procedure.

This means that patients leave the dental office with a functional set of teeth immediately after the surgery. This avoids the inconvenience and potential self-consciousness associated with being without teeth during the healing period.

Sinus Lift

Avoid Invasive Procedures

In the upper jaw, sinuses are located above premolar and molar teeth. If these teeth are lost or badly damaged, sinus floor drops down, which must be lifed for implant placement

However, with All-on-4 implants, the back implants are placed at an angle, which allows them to engage with the available bone in the front part of the jaw. This angulation avoids the need for a sinus lift procedure

All on 4/5/6 Fixed Teeth

All-on-4 final teeth has a metal framework or a supportive bar inside the prosthetic arch, which provides added strength and stability.

The metal structure helps distribute the biting forces evenly across the implants, reducing the risk of strain on individual implants.

All-on-4 final teeth have a more streamlined design, with less pink acrylic material compared to traditional dentures.

The reduced pink portion allows for a more natural appearance, as it mimics the appearance of gums and preserves the natural contours of the jawline.

In the upper arch, All-on-4 final teeth do not require a palate area, as the implants and the metal framework provide sufficient support and stability.

This absence of a palate area allows for a more comfortable and natural feel, as it eliminates the sensation of having a bulky denture covering the roof of the mouth.

All-on-4 final teeth are custom-designed to match the natural shape, size, and color of your teeth, providing an aesthetically pleasing smile.

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures, in contrast, do not have a metal framework inside. They rely on the attachment of the dentures to the implants via connectors or attachments.

Implant-supported dentures have a larger pink (gum area on denture) acrylic portion, as they require more material to cover the areas of the jaw where teeth are missing.

In the upper arch, implant-supported dentures  include a palate area to provide additional support and stability.

The palate area in upper dentures leads to a less natural feeling and affect speech and taste perception.

Implant Supported Dentures or over dentures are semi fixed solution, dentures must be removed in night also, every 5-7 years the attachment wears off may need a change.

Implant Retained Crown Bridge

In an implant-supported fixed bridge, multiple crowns or bridges are used to complete the arch of missing teeth. However, there are some drawbacks compared to All-on-4 final teeth. Here's what you should know:

Unlike All-on-4, where the forces are evenly distributed across the implants and the metal framework, an implant-supported bridge lacks this distribution.

This can put excessive strain on individual implants, potentially compromising their stability and longevity.

An implant-supported bridge can appear fake due to the visible connections between the individual crowns or bridges. The lack of a unified framework can result in a less natural-looking smile.

Cleaning food debris and maintaining oral hygiene under an implant-supported bridge can be challenging.

The individual crowns or bridges are joined, creating tight spaces that are hard to access with regular brushing and flossing. This increases the risk of plaque buildup and potential gum problems.
