The difference between a ₹16,000 and ₹60,000 denture is not just material. It is the number of clinical steps, teeth brand, lab quality, and specialist training. A BPS denture takes 5–6 visits. A basic acrylic takes 3. The outcome is measurably different in fit, comfort, and how long it stays comfortable.

From Dr. Jyoti Singh’s Practice

Many patients ask for the cheapest partial denture and return six months later unhappy with the fit. In my experience, the cast partial gives the best value for most patients — it costs more upfront but lasts 8–12 years and feels significantly more stable day to day.

Understanding the Price

What Affects Denture Cost in Gurgaon?

Why does the same type of denture cost ₹10,000 at one clinic and ₹20,000 at another? The answer matters.

01

Teeth Brand and Quality

Acry-Rock, Ivoclar Vivadent — each is a different product. Wear resistance and chewing efficiency vary. The teeth alone account for ₹5,000–₹10,000 of total cost.

02

Denture Base Material

Standard acrylic, Valplast nylon, Chrome-Cobalt, Titanium, PEEK — each has a different production cost and a different clinical result for the patient.

03

Laboratory Used

A local unverified lab costs far less than Dentcare Dental Lab, Kerala — US FDA approved, BPS certified, ISO qualified. Same clinical design, measurably better result from a better lab.

04

Number of Clinical Visits

BPS: 5–6 visits. Basic acrylic: 3. Each visit is a checkpoint. Shortcuts here are why dentures become uncomfortable.

05

Prosthodontist vs General Dentist

An MDS Prosthodontist has 3 extra years of specialist training focused entirely on prosthetic dentistry. The same materials produce different results in different hands.

06

Bite Recording Accuracy

Poor bite recording causes 60–70% of denture discomfort cases. (International Journal of Prosthodontics) Cannot be rushed.

The honest truth about cheap dentures:

A ₹10,000 denture usually means stock trays, no functional impression, basic bite recording, and a local unverified lab. The result often loosens within 1–2 years. You end up spending more to fix it — or starting over.

From Clinical Practice

Most repair and reline cases we see were dentures made elsewhere at a lower price. The most common finding: incorrect bite height because jaw recording was rushed. This is very difficult to correct in an existing denture. The right protocol from the start prevents all of this.

The Real Reason Most Dentures Disappoint

Why Dentures Often Fail in Gurgaon

A denture does not fail because of bad luck. It fails because of specific, preventable clinical shortcuts. Knowing these helps you ask the right questions before choosing a clinic.

Wrong Bite Recording

  • Most common cause of denture failure
  • Jaw relationship must be recorded at rest and in movement
  • Rushed recording → clicking, sore spots, headaches from day one
  • Very difficult to correct in an existing denture

Poor Impression Technique

  • Stock trays give an average, not a precise impression
  • Custom trays capture your exact gum ridge contour
  • Clinics cutting costs skip the custom tray step
  • Difference in fit is immediately obvious to any specialist

Cheap or Unverified Lab

  • Same clinical design → very different results from different labs
  • Local labs use cheaper resins, less precise milling
  • No quality audit in unverified labs
  • US FDA / BPS-certified labs (Dentcare, Kerala) are a different standard

Too Few Clinical Visits

  • Complete denture: minimum 4 visits required
  • BPS denture: 5–6 visits required
  • Each visit = impression review, try-in, bite check, delivery, follow-up
  • 2-visit dentures skip essential checkpoints

No Specialist Involvement

  • Prosthodontics = 3 years additional post-graduate specialty training
  • Focused solely on artificial tooth systems
  • General dentist can make dentures — but clinical nuance differs significantly
  • Jaw relationship recording requires specialist-level skill

No Follow-Up Plan

  • Bone changes after every tooth extraction
  • Denture that fits at delivery needs reline within 2–3 years
  • Without follow-up, the patient has no plan for this
  • Annual review = catch changes before fit deteriorates

From Dr. Jyoti Singh’s Practice

I have seen patients who spent ₹10,000 on a denture and then spent ₹22,000 trying to fix or replace it two years later. The logic of saving money upfront only works if the cheaper option is clinically sound. In prosthodontics, skipping steps is not a shortcut — it directly determines how the denture functions for years. I would rather explain this honestly at the first consultation than see a patient return in distress later.

Know Before You Decide

Cheap Dentures vs Premium Dentures

This is not about luxury vs economy. It is about what you actually receive — and what problems you may face in the months that follow.

Important Decision

Dentures vs Dental Implants — Cost Comparison

Many patients think it is either dentures or implants. There is a middle option — implant-supported dentures — that gives near-fixed stability at a fraction of full implant cost.

TreatmentApprox Cost (Gurgaon)Fixed or RemovablePrevents Bone LossLongevity
Removable Dentures₹28,000–₹45,000RemovableNo7–12 yrs
Implant-Supported Denture₹1.5L–₹3LNear-fixed (clip-in)Yes15–20+ yrs

Full Mouth Implants₹5L+Fixed (individual)Yes20–25+ yrs

The 20-Year Cost Reality

Dentures appear cheaper upfront. Over 20 years the picture looks different. These are realistic estimates based on standard clinical protocols and reline cycles.

Treatment Upfront Relines (every 3 yrs) Replacements Estimated 20-yr Total Bone Preserved?
Acrylic Complete Denture ₹28,000 ~₹24,000 (6×) 2–3 replacements ~₹70,000 ~₹1.2L–₹1.5L No
BPS Complete Denture ₹45,000 ~₹24,000 (6×) 1–2 replacements ~₹55,000 ~₹1.2L–₹1.4L No
Implant-Supported Denture ₹1.5L–₹3L ~₹12,000 (4×) 1 denture replacement ~₹45,000 ~₹2L–₹3.5L Yes
All-on-4 Implants ₹3.4L–₹5L Minimal maintenance Bridge refresh once ~₹80,000 ~₹4L–₹6L Yes

Estimates include relines, repairs, and replacements over 20 years. Actual costs vary. Implant-based solutions prevent jaw bone loss — removable dentures do not. Bone loss causes further complications and costs over time that are not included in this table.

About bone loss: After tooth extraction, jaw bone shrinks continuously. A removable denture rests on the gum — it does not prevent this. Implants are placed inside the bone and actively prevent shrinkage. This is why implants are the definitive long-term solution for most patients who can access them.

We give you an honest comparison at consultation based on your actual bone levels and budget.

Existing Denture Problems?

Denture Repair & Reline Cost in Gurgaon

Not everyone needs a new denture. Many patients with a loose or broken denture benefit from a repair or reline — at a fraction of replacement cost.

Denture Reline

Your gum changes shape as jaw bone shrinks after tooth loss. A reline resurfaces the inside of the denture with fresh material to match your current gum — restoring fit without a full replacement.

  • Recommended every 2–3 years
  • Chairside (soft) or lab-processed (hard)
  • Extends denture life by 3–5 years
  • Significantly less expensive than replacement
Reline vs replace: Under 8 years old, teeth not too worn, framework sound — reline is usually right. Older dentures with worn teeth need replacement.

Denture Repair

Cracked base, broken tooth, fractured clasp — all repairable in most cases. Bring your denture in and we assess it same-day.

  • Cracked base — repaired and reinforced
  • Broken tooth — replaced and colour-matched
  • Bent clasp — repaired or replaced
  • Adding a tooth to existing denture — possible on most types
Do not use pharmacy repair kits. They damage the surface and worsen the fit. Always see a specialist even for minor repairs.
Long-Term Value

How Long Do Dentures Last?

Lifespan depends on material, care, and jaw bone changes. Based on clinical evidence — not optimistic estimates.

Denture TypeLifespanReline NeededWhen to Replace
Acrylic Partial / Complete5–7 yrsEvery 2–3 yrsWorn teeth · repeated fractures
Flexible Partial (Valplast)5–7 yrsEvery 3 yrsSignificant gum recession
Cast Partial (CoCr / Titanium)8–12 yrsEvery 3 yrsFramework fracture (rare)
Ivoclar Complete7–10 yrsEvery 2–3 yrsWorn teeth · poor fit after reline
BPS Complete8–12 yrsEvery 3 yrsWhen annual review indicates
Why does a denture become loose even if nothing breaks?
After tooth extraction, jaw bone shrinks continuously — called alveolar bone resorption. The gum ridge gets smaller over time. Even a perfectly made denture becomes looser as this happens. Annual reviews let us catch this early and reline before fit deteriorates.

Evidence-Based

The jaw can lose up to 60% of its alveolar bone width within 3 years of tooth extraction, with the most rapid loss in the first 6–12 months (Jahangiri et al., Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, 2012). Dentures manage the consequences of this bone loss. Implants — placed inside the bone — prevent it at the source. This is the fundamental clinical difference between the two treatment options.

Patient Questions Answered

FAQs — Denture Cost in Gurgaon

Direct answers based on real questions from patients at our Sector 51 and Sector 74 clinics.

A complete denture for both jaws ranges from ₹30,000 (basic acrylic with Acry-Rock teeth) to ₹60,000 (BPS with Ivoclar characterised teeth and certified lab). The mid-premium Ivoclar option costs ₹45,000. All prices are at Center for Dental Implants & Esthetics, Gurgaon and include clinical visits. Partial dentures for missing teeth start from ₹16,000 per jaw.

Four main reasons: (1) teeth brand — basic vs Ivoclar vs BPS teeth vary significantly in quality; (2) lab — a local unverified lab costs far less than Dentcare’s FDA-approved, BPS-certified facility; (3) clinical steps — BPS takes 5–6 visits vs 3 for basic; (4) specialist vs general dentist. A ₹10,000 denture is not a discounted ₹45,000 one. It is a different product, made differently, in a different lab, by a different type of clinician.

For most patients needing complete dentures — yes. BPS uses a functional impression capturing jaw movement, IvoBase moulding eliminating shrinkage, and characterised teeth and gums. Studies show BPS dentures restore up to 50% of natural bite force vs ~30% with standard dentures (Zarb & Hobkirk, 2017). If you will wear a denture for 10 years, the ₹15,000 difference is worthwhile in daily comfort and confidence.

Flexible dentures use nylon resin (Valplast or Dentcare Flex) instead of hard acrylic — lighter, will not crack if dropped, and have gum-coloured clasps. Cost ₹19,500–₹20,000 vs ₹16,000–₹17,000 for acrylic. Not better in every case — cast metal partials are stronger and longer-lasting for patients needing maximum durability. Flexible options are best for front teeth gaps or when aesthetics matter most.

Yes, upfront. A complete set of dentures costs ₹30,000–₹60,000. Full mouth implants cost ₹3.75 lakh or more. However, dentures need relines every 2–3 years and replacement every 7–12 years — the 20-year cost narrows considerably. More importantly, dentures do not prevent the bone loss that continues after tooth extraction — implants do. See the 20-year cost comparison above.

Basic acrylic partial: 3-4 visits over 10–14 days. Complete acrylic: 4-5 visits. BPS complete: 5–6 visits over 3–4 weeks. The functional impression and jaw recording steps cannot be rushed. We do not offer same-day complete dentures — the clinical process does not allow it without compromising the result.

Immediate dentures — placed the same day as tooth extraction — are possible as transitional dentures while the gum heals. Once healing is complete (3–6 months), the denture is relined or replaced with a permanent one. “Finished quality dentures in one day” is not possible if the correct clinical protocol is followed. Clinics offering this are typically skipping the functional impression or jaw recording step.

Repair and reline costs depend on the work required and are assessed at consultation. A soft chairside reline is least expensive. A lab-processed hard reline is more durable but requires 24–48 hours at the lab. For cracks or broken teeth, we provide a written quote before work begins. In many cases repair or reline is far more cost-effective than replacement — we will always tell you honestly which is appropriate.

A PEEK partial costs ₹50,000 for one jaw or ₹85,000 for both. PEEK is a medical polymer used in spinal surgery — completely metal-free, digitally milled, the lightest partial available. Best for patients with metal sensitivity or strong aesthetic concerns. For patients without metal sensitivity, a cast partial at ₹28,000–₹35,000 gives excellent value without compromising durability.

Coverage varies. Some corporate health insurance policies include basic dental procedures — but most standard health insurance plans in India do not include dental by default. Check your specific policy terms. We provide detailed treatment documentation and receipts for reimbursement submissions. Our team at both Gurgaon centres can assist with the paperwork.
