Root Canal Specialist Near You in Gurgaon
Looking for a root canal specialist or endodontist near you? Our two clinics cover most of Gurgaon within 4 km. Same-day appointments available.
What Is Root Canal Treatment?
Every tooth has a soft nerve inside called the pulp. When a cavity goes deep, or a tooth cracks, bacteria reach this nerve. It gets infected. That is what causes the throbbing pain you feel at night. Root canal treatment removes this infected nerve, cleans the canal, seals it, and saves your natural tooth.

When do you need a root canal?
You may need root canal treatment if you have any of these signs. The earlier you come, the simpler the treatment. Delays let infection spread to bone and jaw.
Not sure if you need RCT? Send your X-ray on WhatsApp for a quick review before booking.
Why does your tooth need root canal treatment?
Decay has reached the nerve. Filling alone will not work now.
Crack lets bacteria into the nerve. RCT seals and saves it.
Pus-filled swelling near gum. Infection has spread. Needs urgent treatment.
Pain returning after a previous root canal. Re-treatment is possible.
Two Specialists. One Complete Treatment.
Most clinics send one general dentist to do both the root canal and the crown. We do not. Root canal is one specialty. Crown restoration is another. We keep them separate because your tooth deserves both done right.
Dr Sarika, MDS Endodontics
Consulting Endodontist — Root Canal SpecialistYour root canal is performed by a qualified MDS Endodontist from our specialist panel. Not a general dentist. Not a BDS with a course. A full MDS postgraduate who has made root canals their only work.
- Magnification loupes for enhanced canal visibility
- Rotary endodontic files — faster, more thorough
- Laser disinfection for complex infected cases
- Re-RCT expertise for failed previous treatments
Dr. Jyoti Singh, MDS Prosthodontics
Prosthodontist & Implantologist — Crown Restoration SpecialistAfter the root canal, Dr. Jyoti Singh — MDS from Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, Delhi — restores your tooth with a dental crown. The crown is not an afterthought. It determines whether your treated tooth lasts 5 years or 15.
- Bite-accurate crown design using digital planning
- Zirconia and ceramic crowns — tooth-coloured, strong
- CAD-CAM precision for perfect fit
- 17+ years experience in full-mouth rehabilitation
Why does this two-specialist system matter?
A root canal treated by an Endodontist has a higher success rate than one done by a general dentist. A crown placed by a Prosthodontist fits better and lasts longer. When both are done by specialists — that is the highest standard of care you can receive in Gurgaon for this procedure.
This is what patients looking for a root canal specialist in Gurgaon, endodontist in Gurgaon, or painless root canal treatment near me are seeking — when they want more than a general dentist doing everything alone.
Root Canal Treatment Process — What Actually Happens
Understanding the steps removes the fear. Here is exactly what happens during your treatment at our Sector 51 or Sector 74 clinic. Single sitting. 45 to 60 minutes. You walk in with pain and walk out comfortable.
Digital X-Ray Diagnosis — 5 Minutes
We take a digital RVG X-ray. The doctor shows you exactly where the infection is on the screen. You understand what is happening before we do anything. No surprises.
Painless Anesthesia — 2 Minutes
Numbing gel goes on your gum first. Then a very thin needle delivers the anesthetic slowly. After 3 minutes you are completely numb. We do not start until you confirm you feel nothing.
Rubber Dam Isolation — 3 Minutes
A thin rubber sheet is placed around the tooth. This keeps the area dry, prevents bacteria from the mouth entering the canal, and makes the treatment cleaner and safer.
Canal Cleaning with Rotary Files — 20 to 30 Minutes
This is the core work. The infected nerve tissue is removed from inside the canal using electronic rotary files. Canal length is measured precisely with an apex locator. Antibacterial solution is irrigated repeatedly to flush bacteria out.
Laser Disinfection (When Needed) — 5 Extra Minutes
For infected or abscess cases, laser energy is used inside the canal after mechanical cleaning. It reaches tiny side canals that rotary files cannot. Used selectively — not for every case, only where clinically needed.
Sealing the Canal — 10 Minutes
The clean canal is dried and filled with gutta-percha, a biocompatible rubber-like material that has been used in dentistry for over 100 years. The canal is sealed completely. A final X-ray confirms the fill is perfect before we stop.
Temporary Filling and Crown Plan — 5 Minutes
A temporary filling protects the tooth until your permanent crown is placed. The doctor explains exactly what to eat, what to avoid, and when to come back for the crown. Most patients return within 2 to 4 weeks.
What happens after root canal treatment?
Numbness for 2 to 3 hours. Avoid eating until it wears off. Mild soreness is normal.
Sensitivity reduces. Eat soft food. Avoid hard or crunchy things on that side.
Tooth feels normal. You are ready for crown preparation appointment.
Permanent crown placed by Dr. Jyoti Singh. Tooth protected for 10 to 15 years.

View RCT Cost PageRoot Canal vs Extraction vs Doing Nothing
When your tooth nerve is infected, you have three choices. Here is what each one actually means for your health and finances.
Do Nothing — Take Painkillers
Antibiotics and painkillers reduce pain temporarily. They cannot reach a dead tooth nerve because there is no blood supply inside an infected canal. The infection keeps growing.
- Facial swelling and pus formation
- Infection spreads to jawbone
- Risk of hospitalisation
- Eventually needs RCT or extraction anyway — at higher cost
Tooth Extraction
Removing the tooth stops the infection. But a gap in your mouth creates new problems over time. Bone shrinks without a tooth root. Neighbouring teeth tilt inward.
- Bone loss begins within months of extraction
- Adjacent teeth shift and bite changes
- Implant or bridge needed later — at much higher cost. See dental implant options in Gurgaon
- Chewing function affected until replacement
Root Canal Treatment
The infected nerve is removed, the canal is cleaned and sealed, the tooth is restored with a crown. Your natural tooth stays in place. Bone is preserved. Bite remains normal.
- Immediate pain relief
- Natural tooth preserved
- Jawbone stays healthy
- Crown lasts 10 to 15+ years with normal care

Advanced Endodontic Treatments in Gurgaon
Not every root canal case is straightforward. Some need more. Our MDS Endodontist handles the full range of complex endodontic situations.
Root Canal Retreatment (Re-RCT)
Pain returning after a previous root canal from another clinic. Old filling material is removed, missed canals are located using magnification loupes and apex locator, and the tooth is re-cleaned and re-sealed.
- Magnification loupes for improved canal visibility
- Saves teeth that other clinics said needed extraction
- Available for molar and front tooth re-RCT
Laser Root Canal Treatment
For teeth with severe infection or abscess. Laser energy reaches deep into canal walls and side canals where mechanical files cannot go. Used selectively for complex cases, not as a routine upsell.
- Deeper bacterial elimination
- Reduced post-treatment swelling
- Preferred for abscess cases in Sector 51 and Sector 74 areas
Apicoectomy
A minor surgical procedure that removes infection from the root tip when root canal treatment alone cannot reach it. Done when RCT is complete but a persistent infection remains at the root end.
- Saves teeth that failed RCT
- Root tip infection removed surgically
- Performed under local anesthesia — same visit return to work

Root Canal Success Rate — What Actually Determines It
Most patients ask about equipment. Research points to three other factors.
Operator Skill
- How completely the canal is cleaned is the biggest variable
- Operator qualification was the most significant outcome factor — Burns et al., PMC 2022
- Most RCTs fail because a canal was missed or infection was not fully removed
Crown Quality & Fit
- Crown quality is one of the three most significant prognostic factors — British Dental Journal, 2025
- Teeth with crowns survive at 95 to 100% over long periods vs nearly double failure rate without
- Poor crown fit allows bacteria back in through the margin — the most common late failure cause
- At CDIE, crown placed by Dr. Jyoti Singh MDS Prosthodontist using iTero and 3Shape digital impressions
Crown Timing
- Crown within 60 days of RCT significantly improves long-term survival — Pratt et al., J Endodontics 2016
- Temporary filling is not a permanent seal — every week is a week of fracture and reinfection risk
- The root canal stops the infection. The crown saves the tooth. Do not delay.
Root Canal Success Rates — What Research Reports
Clinical Oral Investigations, 2023
PMC systematic review, 2022
Multiple systematic reviews
598-tooth study, 2023
Instrumentation method — loupes vs microscope, hand files vs rotary — did not show significant outcome difference in Burns et al. 2022 (PMC). Operator skill, fill quality, and crown quality were the deciding factors.
Root Canal Treatment in Gurgaon — Questions Patients Actually Ask
From our Sector 51 and Sector 74 clinics. Real questions. Direct answers.
Does root canal treatment hurt?
No. Root canal treatment is painless because local anesthesia is used throughout the procedure. You are completely numb before we begin. The pain you felt before the treatment — from the infection — is actually worse than the treatment itself. Most patients say they were surprised by how comfortable it was.
We use computer-controlled anesthesia delivery for sensitive patients. We do not start until you confirm you feel nothing.
How long does root canal treatment take in Gurgaon?
Root canal treatment in Gurgaon takes 45 to 60 minutes for a single-sitting procedure. Complex molar cases or re-RCT may take longer. You walk in with pain and walk out comfortable the same day. No need to take leave from work.
Who performs root canal treatment at Center for Dental Implants & Esthetics?
At Center for Dental Implants & Esthetics, root canal treatment is performed by Dr Sarika, MDS Endodontics, a consulting endodontist specialist. Crown restoration after RCT is done by Dr. Jyoti Singh, MDS Prosthodontics (Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, Delhi).
This two-specialist approach means both the root canal and the crown are done by people whose entire postgraduate training was in exactly that procedure. Not by a general dentist doing everything.
Is a crown compulsory after root canal treatment?
For back teeth (premolars and molars), yes — a crown is strongly recommended. The root canal removes the nerve and blood supply from the tooth, making it brittle. Without a crown, the tooth can crack under chewing pressure. A crown seals and protects it, extending the life of the treated tooth to 10 to 15 years or more.
For front teeth, a crown is often still recommended but the urgency is slightly lower as front teeth face less biting force.
Why is there pain again after my old root canal treatment?
Pain returning after a root canal is called root canal failure and is treatable with retreatment (Re-RCT). Common causes:
- A canal was missed during the original treatment
- The tooth has cracked
- Reinfection through a broken crown or filling
- Infection at the root tip that was not removed
Using magnification loupes and rotary endodontics, the endodontist can locate and treat canals that were missed before. We handle re-RCT cases regularly at our Sector 51 and Sector 74 clinics.
Can I take antibiotics instead of doing root canal treatment?
No. Antibiotics cannot cure a root canal infection. Here is why: once the tooth nerve dies, there is no blood supply inside the canal. Antibiotics travel through blood to fight infection. They cannot reach bacteria trapped inside a dead tooth.
Antibiotics reduce swelling temporarily by controlling infection in the surrounding gum and bone. But the bacteria inside the tooth canal are untouched and continue to multiply. The infection returns once antibiotics stop.
Repeated antibiotic courses without treating the source also create antibiotic resistance, which is a serious health risk.
What is the difference between microscopic RCT and loupe-assisted RCT?
Microscopic RCT uses a dental operating microscope (5x to 25x magnification). Loupe-assisted RCT uses dental loupes (3x to 5x magnification). Both are better than unaided vision.
- Our endodontist uses dental magnification loupes during treatment
- Loupes provide better visibility than the naked eye for canal location and cleaning
- Combined with rotary endodontics, apex locator, and digital X-ray, they allow thorough and precise treatment
- We do not have a dental operating microscope at our clinics currently
If your case specifically requires microscope-level magnification, we will tell you honestly. For the large majority of root canal cases including molars, loupe-assisted treatment with rotary endodontics achieves excellent outcomes.
How do I know if my root canal is done correctly?
After a correctly done root canal treatment, pain reduces significantly within 2 to 3 days.
- Mild soreness for up to a week is normal
- A post-treatment X-ray should confirm complete canal filling
- No swelling should develop after the first 48 hours
We take a verification X-ray before we seal every root canal. This confirms the fill is complete before we consider the procedure done. You can ask to see this X-ray on the screen at your appointment.
